Welcome to “Belle Arti” Center for the Arts

Imagination is the mother of creativity and art is the only tool a society has in order to develop that creativity. The mission of “Belle Arti” Center for the Arts is to offer our talent and dedication to help students develop their own qualities regardless of age, initial abilities and background. How many benefits can a person get from studying music? No matter what career you choose, studying an instrument or voice will develop the ability to learn in all areas and enhance the skills that are going to help you later in life. The earlier a child is exposed to music, the more chances he or she has to get ahead in life.

Children are like sponges; they are curious and eager to learn. One of the significant pillars of child development is being exposed to art. As a child growing up in Rome, Italy, I had the good fortune of experiencing art on a daily basis. My parents started taking me to museums at the age of four and almost every year thereafter, they would take me and my brother to visit museums throughout Europe. I am proud to say that part of my family has been working at the Opera House in Rome for three generations. By the time I was six years old, I was attending concerts, the opera and the ballet. Claudette also had the good fortune of growing up in a family that loved and appreciated art. Her mother and sister are nationally recognized painters, and her grandfather started her in piano lessons at the age of four. Also, along with piano lessons in order to get familiar with the folklore of her native Santo Domingo, Claudette began dance classes with the famous folklore dancer Casandra Damirón. At the same time, her parents thought it was important and necessary for Claudette and her three sisters to be connected to their Catalan and French roots in order to better develop their personalities, talents and horizons.

Both Claudette and I truly believe that being exposed to art helped us to open our horizons and minds to the world and other cultures. The art of music is a language that breaks the borderline barriers by reaching the soul of all individuals. Do not hesitate to talk to us about all the options we offer to best suit the needs of your child. A few parents take the option of starting private lessons immediately, while others prefer starting music lessons in a group setting. Group classes are an excellent introduction to further music studies in the instrument of their choice.

Studying music involves skill development, exploring and making beautiful sounds, creating something along with other people and carrying on musical and cultural traditions. It is fascinating for us to see a student understanding the beauty of music, as well as making a student proud of his or her accomplishments. It is a mental attitude. We like to build up self-confidence in our students. This will help them develop a strong sense of capacity that, regardless of difficulties, will enable them to overcome the obstacles they may encounter in life.

All the best,

Massimiliano Facchini and Claudette Munné
