  ABOUT MARIANE LEMIEUX

Mariane Lemieux completed her master’s degree at the Manhattan School of Music in 2007. A native of Montreal, Canada, she did her undergraduate studies at the Montreal Music Conservatory.

Ms. Lemieux was heard in Italy, in Hungary, in Canada and in the United States in opera roles such as Juliette, Musetta, Susanna, Adina, Adele, Phyllis in Gilbert& Sullivan’s Iolanthe and Costanza in Haydn’s L’isola disabitata. She has already worked and performed with major conductors and directors from Europe, United States and Canada among which German conductor Christopher Adt, New York City Opera conductor Dan Saunders and Metropolitan Opera directors Robin Guarino and Donna Vaughn.

As an oratorio soloist, Mariane Lemieux has appeared with several choirs and orchestras in works such as Beethoven’s Mass in C, Mozart's Requiem, Regina coeli and Vesperae solennes de confessore, Handel’s Messiah and Vivaldi's Gloria. Last June, she performed Mendelssohn’s Psalm 42 with the Orchestre métropolitain du Grand Montréal.

Ms. Lemieux has extensive experience in teaching voice and French diction. She worked in arts education for children in summer camps, taught French diction for singers at the Crescendo Summer Institute of the Arts 2007 in Hungary and has been teaching in private since 2000.
