“Belle Arti” Center for the Arts offers private lessons for piano, violin, cello, guitar, voice, woodwinds and music theory; semi-private classes on piano, violin, cello and guitar; group classes for piano, violin, cello, guitar and music theory; Musical Aurora® (for additional details, see our Description of Programs). We also offer courses of chamber music for the most advanced students. The academic year has two semesters, Fall and Spring, and a Summer session. At the end of each semester, the students perform in a recital. In addition, at the end of each Spring semester, all students from level 2 up are required to take a jury exam, giving them the opportunity to demonstrate their technical and musical achievements. Exams are given to all studens elementary and up.
Our innovative curriculum follows methods that are used in the most famous music conservatories in Europe and the United States.

Private Classes

Ages 4 and up
One-on-one teaching on all instruments and music theory. At the discretion of the directors, each student will be assigned a teacher that better suits his or her needs. The classes are 30 minutes, 45 minutes or 60 minutes in length.

Semi- Private Classes

Ages 4 and up. 45 minutes class.
This class is offered on piano, violin, cello and guitar. Semi-private classes involve a minimum of two students. With enough individual attention, this is a perfect class for those students who prefer to explore an instrument in a group setting. All group classes are an excellent introduction to further music studies in the instrument of their choice. For those children between the ages of 4 to 6, parents or caregivers are advised to sit in the classroom during class.

Musical Aurora® "Awakening The Mind Through Music"™

Ages 2 to 5. 45 minutes class.
This unique class involves a maximum of five students. Early classes on music enhance children’s natural creative impulses, helping them to develop the skills they need in order to communicate, concentrate, coordinate, cooperate and express themselves fully. Through songs, movements and playing musical games, the goal is to awaken the full creative and intellectual potential in each child. Parents or caregivers are required to sit in the classroom during class. (Click here to watch a video of this class)

Music Theory

Group Class
Theory is the grammar of music and, therefore, the basis for music understanding. This class is required for all students taking private instruction in any instrument. All students are required to take a placement exam in order to be placed in the appropriate level. The music theory class consists of learning harmony, ear training (sight–singing in solfege and dictation) and rhythm training.
