Before & After: A Ten Year Journey in Music Education

Updated: Aug 25, 2023

In our recent article, “The benefits of music at an early age,” we saw the impact music has on a person's life, especially the benefits for children who begin at an early age. Today, we share with you a ten-year journey in music that illustrates the experience we've had with many of our students.

About a decade ago, NBC-TV aired a story on Belle Arti Center for the Arts when we were just starting our journey. We felt the importance of music in the development of people's lives was critical to their success, particularly for children.

What started as an idea based on our own experience and knowledge as musicians and music educators has turned into an incredibly rewarding journey in which the Belle Arti Center’s approach has had a positive impact on the lives of hundreds of students.

Along the way, we have created our Musical Aurora® program, which has been incredibly effective for the youngest students who want to learn music. Youngsters between the ages of 2 and 5 are exposed to rhythm, melody, and music in ways that enhance their natural creative impulses and help them develop the skills they need to communicate, concentrate, and express themselves fully.

Not too long ago, NBC aired another story showing the results of this signature class 10 years later. We hope you’ll view these video clips to see for yourself the impact of Musical Aurora® on the children who have participated.
